Laurie: This is a good start on the script for the presentation, but I can't seem to view the actual storyboard. A video presentation is mainly visual, therefore the storyboard must have engaging visuals that support the text. You should not just take a video shot of a talking head. This needs visual support that is sync'd with the script. Think about this before submitting the script and storyboard for grading.
ReplyDeleteSecond, you are supposedly introducing an expert at a conference. There is no reference to that make believe person. Maybe you can tie in the presentation with some accomplishment of the expert. Try and build in some visuals demonstrating learner assessment.
Good start.
Oops ... meant to say Lauren ..... :-).
ReplyDeleteHi Lauren,
ReplyDeleteYou have selected a great topic for your video presentation. Perhaps you can video tape, by permission, friends to act out the roles of assessing a learner. These individuals could actually be taking part in a class chat, group discussion, video conferencing, etc. Make sure that you direction for completing your video has a beginning, middle, and an end. Also, make sure that you pace your video within the 5-6 minutes.

Hi Lauren,
ReplyDeleteYou provide a lot of detail on your topic. I like Michelle's suggestion of acting out and videoing that. This will help give context to your research on the topic and focus the video. Good work!
Hi Lauren,
ReplyDeleteI like your e-Learning resources (Education City and SuccessMaker) that you are integrating into this video presentation. Also, you may want to check out Gizmo (www.explorelearning.com) - it is another resource for online simulations that allows K-12 students to interact and do inquiry by changing data. It is great for science and math explorations and helps students learn and teachers assess learning.
